Kiwifruit is sourced from various growing regions across Turkey, particularly Yalova, Ordu, Bursa; drawing on multiple regions helps keep supply steady and quality consistent throughout the season.

Featured Varieties

HaywardThe world's most widely grown kiwifruit; October-November harvest, supplied from storage until spring

The most widely grown kiwifruit variety in the world and in Turkey; known for its large oval fruit, bright green flesh, and balanced sweet-tart flavor. Its long storage life allows uninterrupted supply from harvest through to spring.

Gold KiwiYellow flesh, smooth skin, sweeter

Distinguished from Hayward by its bright yellow flesh and near-smooth thin skin, Gold Kiwi is prized in the premium segment for its higher sugar content and tropical aroma.

GreenlightGreen flesh, early-season type

A green-fleshed variety similar to Hayward; its relatively early harvest brings it to market among the season's first kiwifruit.

Growing & Harvest

The kiwifruit is a climbing plant that needs a mild, humid climate and a long frost-free growing period; the sea-moderated climate and rainfall patterns of Yalova and Ordu suit kiwifruit orchards well. Vines are trained on pergola systems; fruit is harvested by hand in a single pass in October-November, once dry matter/sugar levels reach target values. Since kiwifruit ripens after harvest, fruit picked at the right time can be kept in cold storage for months.

Uses & Applications

Kiwifruit is consumed mostly fresh; rich in vitamin C, it is one of the sought-after fruits of the winter months. Stored under controlled conditions, kiwifruit can be supplied to the market until spring, well beyond the harvest season — an advantage in winter and early-spring exports. It is shipped firm, and softens at room temperature before consumption.
